What is Xentaura?
Xentaura is a First Smart Crypto Benchmark.
Xentaura is a pioneering crypto analytics and financial platform. We aim to set a new standard for crypto performance by offering innovative tools like our First Smart Crypto Indexes, detailed analytics, and a vibrant community. Currently, we provide live indexes, a newsfeed, and weekly/monthly news subscriptions, with more features like APIs and the Xenta TrendOmeter in development.
Why "Smart" Crypto Benchmark?
What about stablecoins, Bitcoin and Ethereum, you may ask? Stablecoins do bring the value, however their prices don’t change. Therefore, it would not make a sense to include them into the Indexes. However, there might be something better coming down the road in terms of the stablecoins… Stay tuned.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are two huge assets that would do a significant impact on the indexes themselves. We don’t want one asset to drag down the whole index or vice versa. It’s just not going to be a fair value of the index. On the top of it, BTC and ETH have their own ETFs and that brings even more arguments on the table.
What do we have in a summary?
Three Indexes that track performance of the each sector on crypto market in terms of the size of the market capitalization. Top, middle, emerging. Three the most clear and transparent indexes that are being re-composed twice a month to keep up with the dynamically changing conditions on the crypto market. Meet a new Standard for Crypto Benchmarking: XENTAURA ^XTCI5, XENTAURA ^XTCIMC and XENTAURA ^XTCIE70.
Can I buy Indexes?
No. At least, not at this point. But you might be able to some time in the future.. We are working hard towards that.
How do you form the Indexes?
Based on market capitalization.
^XTCI5: Xentaura Top 5 Cryptocurrencies Index
Top Index that reflects behavior of the top 5 cryptocurrencies on the market. Excludes Bitcoin and Ethereum (to keep a fair impact of each coin for index), wrapped coins, meme coins and stablecoins.
^XTCIMC: Xentaura Mid-Cap 20 Cryptocurrencies Index
Includes cryptocurrencies ranked from 6th to 25th by market capitalization. This index captures the performance of significant yet less dominant assets in the cryptocurrency space, providing a broader view beyond the top market leaders.
^XTCIE70: Xentaura Crypto Index Emerging 70 Index
Covers cryptocurrencies ranked from 26th to 95th by market capitalization. This index highlights the performance of emerging and potentially high-growth assets within the cryptocurrency market. Excludes wrapped coins, meme coins and stablecoins.
All the indexes get re-composed every 1-st and 15th of each month.
The weight of each coin varies depending on the Index.
In ideal world each crypto coin that is a part of the Index would have an equal weight and therefore an equal impact on the Index. However, in reality crypto might be very dynamic and it’s almost never true.
So considering all the volatility and unpredictability we’ve set a threshold of weight for each cryptocurrency for each Index.
For ^XTCI5 the weight of a single coin can’t be more than 35% seven days in a row at all times. Otherwise, the impact is going to be too big and on the next re-composition the coin will be excluded from the current index.
For ^XTCIMC the weight of a single coin can’t be more than 15% seven days in a row at all times. Otherwise, the impact is going to be too big and on the next re-composition the coin will be excluded from the current index.
For ^XTCIE70 the weight of a single coin can’t be more than 7% seven days in a row at all times. Otherwise, the impact is going to be too big and on the next re-composition the coin will be excluded from the current index.
What’s included in the newsfeed and subscriptions?
Our newsfeed provides daily updates on market trends and movements related to our First Smart Crypto Indexes, helping you stay informed about the altcoin market. Also, we do analytics of the crypto market to better understand where the market is going, what are the current impacts and what to expect in the near and long future from the market. Those are NOT financial advises and provided purely for informational and educational purposes.
The weekly and monthly subscriptions offer overall insights, including summarized market analyses and index performance highlights, delivered directly to your inbox on weekly or monthly basis accordingly.
Are weekly and monthly subscriptions free?
Yes, absolutely.
When do I receive weekly and monthly subscriptions emails?
On Sundays for a weekly one.
On the last Sunday of each month for a monthly one.
Typically delivered between 6 pm and 8 pm EST.
API for market data. Is that available?
Not at this point but we are very close to complete the development.
The good news is that some plans are already available upon your request, however since we are still working on completing this piece as a whole, we take an individual approach upon your request at this point.
